Stones to Access and Heal Past Lives

One of the more powerful stones for aiding in accessing past lives is Chiastolite. Chiastolite is also known as the "Cross Stone" or as "Andalusite." More accurately, it is a form of Andalusite and has many suggested metaphysical properties. Throughout history it has been used to deflect ill wishing or curses and to dispel negativity. This is a very spiritual stone and can be used for many purposes, such as strengthening memory or lending strength in difficult situations.

One of Chiastolite's main properties is that of creating a bridge for soul transitioning or to help soul's cross over. It is a stone of death and rebirth. It teaches about the immortality of the soul and allows the user to develop new perspectives on old situations. In this way, it aids with changes, problem-solving and the releasing of old habits or destructive habits. Chiastolite, combined with Desert Rose (Selenite), not only breaks down the old habits, but also helps to create healthy new habits and patterns. These two stones also dissolve illusions, calm fears and allow you to face reality and move forward in a positive manner. Feelings of guilt are cleansed as they stabilize the emotions. They also help to clarify messages from across the veil and bring insight.

Like Desert Rose, Chiastolite will allow you to access past lives and astral travel. Some other stones that assist in travel are Petrified Wood, Dendritic Quartz and Phantom Quartz. Working with this Cross Stone can be disorienting or somewhat disconcerting if you are not ready to confront your past lives. One of my friends won't even touch it after experiencing a traumatic past life recall.

I suggest combining Chiastolite with one of the past life healing stones that will allow you to review that life, learn from it, heal it and progress in this life. Selenite, Phantom Quartz, Mangano (Pink Calcite), Wulfenite, Rhodonite, Serpentine (also Infinite), Unakite, Aventurine and Hematite are all past life healing stones that work on different issues. For example, Wulfenite would be for people who were persecuted for religious reasons in past lives, while Mangano would be used for forgiveness and releasing a heart that is trapped in the past allowing for unconditional love in the present.

Desert Rose has many of the same properties of Chiastolite, but works in a slightly softer way. It works especially well when placed in your environment to facilitate harmony and peace (as well as protection from negativity). It is an attractive stone that will blend into your environment when used for gridding purposes. This stone can also aid in changing a negative belief system into a more positive one while at the same time helping one to balance receiving and giving. This rose will enhance love, control emotional outbursts, and allow one to open up to love and trust.

There are other wonderful stones that you can use for meditation or accessing past lives or for crossing the veil like Icelandic Spar, Labradorite, Danburite and Amethyst. These stones can take a little more time and meditation to reveal your past lives but when it comes to healing emotions, sometimes slower is better.

When working with stones that leave you feeling as if you are still floating or disoriented, a ground stone would be good hold or place at your feet. I suggest stones such as Hematite, Obsidian, Onyx, Smoky Quartz, or Black Tourmaline. As always, you are the best judge as to what stones work best with your vibration. Experimentation is always fun but if you ever feel dizzy, nauseous or disoriented, stop immediately, get a drink of water and grab a grounding stone that you know works for you.

Angelic Stones, Pillars of Salt & Brimstone

Brimstone, more commonly known as Sulfur, has gotten a bum rap. Most people associate Sulfur with evil or "fire and brimstone". In fact, when you look up brimstone in the dictionary, you will see listed (1) Sulfur; (2) damnation to hell; (3) fire and brimstone: the torments suffered by sinners in Hell. Beyond the Biblical references, we've been told not to handle sulfur as it is toxic.

According to Wikipedia: Sulfur is an abundant, multivalent non-metal. Sulfur, in its native form, is a bright yellow crystalline solid. In nature, it can be found as the pure element and as sulfide and sulfate minerals. It is an essential element for life and is found in two amino acids: cysteine and methionine. Its commercial uses are primarily in fertilizers, but it is also widely used in black gunpowder, matches, insecticides and fungicides. Ever wonder why rotten eggs smell like sulfur and vice versa? It is because eggs are high in sulfur because large amounts of this element are necessary for feather formation.

While sulfur can be toxic in certain forms and high doses, it has many beneficial qualities - physically and spiritually. Many thermal springs contain salts, sulfur compounds and gases that are dissolved in the spring water during its passage underground. Sulfur is a cleanser and healing stone when used externally. It will cleanse your aura, cut chords, and purify your environment while also providing protection. It can be used for such physical ailments as eczema, arthritis, muscle, feet and back aches, chemotherapy related discomforts, detoxification as well as respiratory issues.

Speaking of respiratory issues, another mineral that has been tarnished over the years is Salt, as in Lot's wife being turned into a Pillar of Salt. The biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were situated near the Dead Sea. Dead Sea salt refers to salt extracted or taken from the Dead Sea and is a popular ingredient of many common therapeutic bath products including bath salts, salt scrubs, foot scrubs, body wraps, bath bombs, soaps, and a wide variety of other cosmetic products, including makeup.

Halite or Salt produces negative ions and if you have ever experienced the air at a waterfall, on a mountain top, at the seashore, or after a thunderstorm - then you have experienced the results of Negative Ions and you know how the air smells fresher and how much easier it is for you to breathe. It has been reported that deep within a salt mine, the symptoms of asthma, allergies and other respiratory illnesses are relieved, even joint pain is reduced when a person is surrounded by salt crystal rocks. The very dry, negative ion environment of a salt mine helps to clear out the patient's bronchial tubes and sinuses, killing bacteria and other microbes.

On the other end of the scale are the Angel stones which have never had a harsh word against them. Seraphinite, Angelite, Blue Celestite, Azeztulite and Azurite are all treasured stones because of their Heavenly looks and positive qualities.

If I had to pick just one stone for its Angelic qualities, it would be Seraphinite. The "feathery wings" of this stone immediately puts you at ease and calms you when looking at it. This heavenly stone raises you to a very high spiritual vibration. On its own or combined with Infinite, it is a stone for self-healing at all levels, i.e., spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. Seraphinite allows one to grow at a steady and safe pace, imparting confidence.

A more subtle stone for reaching a high vibration and contacting the Angelic Realm, would be Angelite. This stone is formed from compressed Blue Celestite. This stone is a representative of brotherhood, peace and deeper attunement for healers while heightening perceptions and providing protection.

Azurite, also known as the "Stone of Heaven" is another stone for raising your vibration but with a strong link to Earth and the physical body. It is an excellent stone for the mind and mental processing because it challenges your concept of reality and belief system. This stone allows one to see the gray areas more clearly and remove the adamant black and white lines of rigidity. Empathy, compassion, removal of fears are just a few other benefits of this spiritual stone.
Last but certainly not least is Azeztulite. This rare stone is one of the highest vibrational stones to work with and can give you a headache when you first use it.

Azeztulite is a powerful healer and teacher as it imparts so much in a short period of time and raises your kundalini quickly. It is best to work with other clear quartz crystals before moving on to this powerful stone. On a physical level, Azeztulite will aid with cellular healing and is beneficial for fighting cancer.

The Many Metaphysical Properties of Tourmaline

Ah, Tourmaline, one of the gemstone world's greatest unrecognized treasures. This stone comes in a rainbow of colors and each color has its own unique healing and metaphysical properties, in addition to the family (or generic) properties of tourmaline.

Most people are familiar with black tourmaline and how it captures and transmutes negativity. Combined with selenite, black tourmaline is used to grid an area for a protective shield. .But did you know that Tourmaline in general is purifying and promotes self-confidence? That all the colors of Tourmaline will help you to understand yourself and be more aware of others. It reduces fear, calms paranoia, brings compassion, inspiration, tolerance and prosperity to the holder.

As far as the general healing characteristics of Tourmaline goes, it is a great detoxifier, combats bronchitis, diabetes, emphysema, pleurisy, pneumonia, dissolves blood clots and relieves ear aches.

All colors of tourmaline are beneficial to plants and helps to keep pests away while encouraging the plant's growth when buried in the soil near the plant. Green Tourmaline and Watermelon Tourmaline are especially useful when dealing with the plant kingdom. Like Rose Quartz? You're Going To Love Morganite

Not familiar with Morganite? You may just want to get to know this stone that has many wonderful qualities. Not only is it pretty to look at, it gives off a calming energy as well as has many physical and spiritual characteristics. You are probably more familiar with it's cousins aquamarine and emerald.

For people who have a negative outlook on life or a defeatist attitude, Morganite would be a good stone with which to work to change their pessimistic nature. This stone encourages loving thoughts and actions, removes blockages of karmic emotional pain and releases pent up emotions. It will cleanse your heart as well as open it up to unconditional love. Morganite will also help to attract love to your life, but use it with an amethyst to encourage the right kind of love.

Morganite helps to fight narrow mindedness, egotistic tendencies, and over analysis. This pink stone replaces these harmful tendencies with wisdom, clear thought, an appreciation of different perspectives as well as patience and tolerance. It is a stone to help reduce stress which could lead to illness.

On a physical/healing level, Morganite is good in combating respiratory ailments such as tuberculosis, asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis. Discovering Lemurian Crystals

Recently a woman came up to me and asked if the tangerine quartz cluster in her hand was a Lemurian Dream Tangerine Quartz. I professed I didn't know too much about the Lemurian Seed crystals and have been confused by all I've read. It looked like a Lemurian Seed crystal by the horizontal striations on the sides, but when I looked at many of the single clear quartz points around it that were not labeled "Lemurian," they had striations as well. Were they all Lemurian and just not labeled as such? I knew it was time to do some of my own research to find out.
I discovered that Lemurian Seed crystals were found in Brazil around 1999/2000. Normally quartz points are mined in cluster forms, but these Lemurian Seed crystals were lying in a separate bed of sand, unattached to clusters.
So how do we recognize Lemurian crystals at a glance? After reading many descriptions and going by various resources, my definition of a Lemurian Seed crystal is: a single standing, "frosty or milky" quartz with numerous deep horizontal striations. They can have a natural golden or pink glow.
Horizontal striations can appear on many quartz pieces but it is the "numerous deep" part that I find is the key to whether it is a Lemurian Seed crystal. After doing my research, I discovered that my "Soulmate" crystal is actually a Lemurian Soulmate crystal. You can see and feel the grooves on all sides of the crystal - like a non-gritty sandpaper feel - while the top is clear and smooth. Despite the fact a Soulmate is two crystals growing together, it still would be described as a single standing crystal - not a cluster.
Also going by the description above, I found that my Recordkeeper single quartz point could be a Lemurian Seed crystal. The striations are not as deep as the Soulmate crystal, but you can definitely see and feel them. It also isn't as milky looking as the Soulmate crystal but does have a "foggy" look. However, going by the descriptions I've read about Recordkeepers, it would be an Atlantian (or Atlantean) Recordkeeper because it only has triangles on its face and no upside down triangles on its sides.
Referring back to the Tangerine Quartz cluster that the young woman held, I don't believe it was a Lemurian Dream Tangerine Quartz for the following physical reasons:
#1 It was a cluster and not a single piece.
#2 The striations on the side were not as numerous or deep as you would expect a Lemurian to have.
#3 I have not found anyone offering or selling Lemurian Tangerine Quartz clusters (although this piece did come directly from a mine in Brazil).
#4 Dream Quartz contains Epidote and/or Actinolite & Prehnite which this cluster did not have.
The best way to know about a crystal is to work with the crystals on a personal basis. If you believe in the existence of Atlantis and Lemuria (Mu), then you may be more aware of energy linked to those lost civilizations and can identify such stones. No matter what a stone is labeled or what metaphysical properties others say it may have, only by working with the stones will you have a personal understanding of them. Their vibrations are as unique as we are, and we all interact with them differently.

Stones for Study and Crystals for Concentration

Stress is not just for adults, children feel it too! Peer pressure can create a host of emotional, mental and physical issues that will affect their study and absorption of knowledge. Learning disabilities can make school pure torture for some children!

Very soon students will be going back to school and some people have asked me what gemstones would help them. There are quite a few gemstones that will help in different situations and you will need to see which gemstones resonate best with your body or spirit, for each of us reacts differently to each stone's vibration.

Let's start with stress - one of the leading contributors to health issues and learning blockages. There are a variety of stones for stress: Snowflake Obsidian, Kunzite, Sugilite and Fluorite are the top vote-getters to calm the nerves. Each has other metaphysical properties that will also work on the students behalf.

Snowflake Obsidian balances the mind, body, and spirit while it calms, soothes and helps to bring focus. It makes the mind more receptive to learning, teaches that mistakes and successes are both valuable lessons and aids in decision making. Mahogany Obsidian has these traits as well as inspiring one to attain their goals and promote intellectual growth, but it is not as effective in cutting through stress.

Kunzite aids focus, meditation and removes stress but also works on self-acceptance, overcoming obstacles and/or challenges while it aids in calming the body and mind during tests.

Sugilite (Luvulite) is a wonderful stone for people with learning difficulties, dyslexia, autism or feeling like a square peg in a round hole world. It promotes harmony with oneself as well as with one's peers. This purple stone will promote cooperation, self-confidence, positive thoughts and actions, calm the nerves while eliminating headaches and combating fatigue. It helps you to understand what is being taught, will facilitate memory retention and inspire you to be a good student.

Fluorite not only reduces stress, but aids with shyness, coordination, balance, self-confidence, concentration, organization and structure while promoting quick thinking and effective decision making. It is a wonderful stone to use for the absorption of information and knowledge.

Rhodochrosite is another crystal that would be good in stressful situations, as it will help to maintain balance and control while at the same time instilling a positive attitude, self-confidence and self-worth. This stone also allows one to retain new information and also allows you to see all sides of a complicated situation or challenge.

Rhodonite helps to maintain balance but also inspires one to achieve their highest potential, while at the same time stimulating unconditional love, confidence and support of one's self and others. It also aids in bringing about a feeling of harmony and cooperation with others.

A really good studying and motivational stone is Mangano Calcite, for it instills a quest for knowledge, brings focus, reduces emotional stress, boosts memory retention while supporting a feeling of self-worth and self-acceptance. Proper nutrition and growth is one other characteristic that this gentle stone promotes.

For the student that is highly challenged and dealing with a lot of negative peer pressure, Gypsum (also known as alabaster or fibrous selenite) will build strength of character through right action and thought. It molds and shapes lovingly, while encouraging growth, quests for knowledge and improvement of intellect.

These stones can be carried in pockets, in book bags, placed next to them on the study table, placed in pieces of jewelry that are worn or they can be made into an elixir by the indirect method of infusion.

Want to create a better study or meditation environment? Place Sulphur and/or Salt Crystal Lamps in the area to increase mental alertness, concentration, reduce stress and create a positive working atmosphere. These two crystals can also help to create a healthy environment. Placing chunks of Rose Quartz and Amethyst around the room would be helpful as well.

Sulphur removes negative thinking, destructive tendencies, willfulness, and distractions of thought and emotions. It promotes reasoning skills and decision making. Sulphur is energizing, inspiring and stimulates the intellect while encouraging perfection of self.

Halite or Salt Crystals Lamps elevate a person's mood while cleansing the air and reducing the negativity. It promotes independence, self-confidence, intelligence, respect, decision making while enhancing insight.

Rose Quartz instills self-worth, self-acceptance, unconditional love, respect, and calms the body, mind and spirit.

Amethyst is known as the overall healer and has wonderful properties for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. It quiets an over-active mind to alleviate insomnia and aid in sleep. It helps with decision making as it brings clarity of mind and emotions. Concentration, memory retention, and balance of all bodies are other characteristics of this beautiful stone.

These are but a handful of stones that can assist one with higher learner. They can be used individually or in a variety of combinations as needed. Working with gemstones will not only give you more insight into their world, but you'll learn more about yourself as well!

If you are like me, you have had a fascination with gemstones, crystals and the Earth for years but don’t/didn’t understand the connection. I would go into a store and just stare or admire the geodes, clusters, and specimens, always wanting to buy them and bring them home not knowing why. The attraction to gemstones and minerals became so strong that I began my collection without really knowing much about them or really understanding them

Now some people simply collect them for their coloring, their natural looks, their chemical properties, or their monetary value, but I collected them because they made me feel good. Little did I know at that time about their metaphysical properties! I was soon to learn, however, that these little pieces of Earth had their own energy and ideas about what our relationship was going to be!

Many cultures believe that all things have a soul or energy. Though they seem to be dead or unfeeling, gemstones and crystals have energy and vibrations. Don’t believe me - think this is all just a bunch of malarkey? Then how do you explain that watches, computers, and many modern day appliances run on quartz or crystal energy. What is quartz but a gemstone!

Still not convinced? Where do our bodies come from, what are we all made up of? Mother Earth! We all need minerals to live, grow and develop properly.
